Child Pillion Riders Need To Be In Safety Harness & Helmets from February 2023
Child pillion riders are in focus as per the latest notification from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. From Feb 2023, all children ages 4 years and below, up to nine months old, who are riding or being carried pillion on a two-wheeler will need to be in safety gear.
Parents and guardians of all child pillion riders need to underline the date of February 15, 2023. From this date onwards, they need to make sure that they have a safety harness and a child crash helmet/bicycle helmet in their possession. Failure to do so will incur a fine/challan. Around 30 children are killed on Indian roads every day, and most of them are riding on two-wheelers. Over 14,000 children below the age of 18 died in road accidents in 2020.
More than 5,800 young children died near schools or educational institutions. Freedo Rentals offers non-exclusive self-driving bike rental services while keeping your safety a top priority. They provide an affordable mobility solution service if you are interested in bike rentals in Delhi and NCR.
